Interior/ Exterior inspired by Peru, Painted in 2009 oil on canvas

This painting is 5 Ft High and spans an entire 28 ft long wall. It depicts a South American scene interior \ exterior of a small village in Peru. It is comprised of seven panels; each vertical painting is 5 ft in height and four feet wide. During Navahjo’s comprehensive  travels through out this country accompanied by his wife and daughter Navahjo took the time to document his every move with photography, sketches, and original oil paintings that were left behind to dry.  Searching the streets for native Peruvian made paints he was able acquire actual colors from the setting of this painting.  Even though this is a painting of a village in Peru it also incorporates other elements of a more universal understanding of the simplicities that you may find globally.
